PEDAIAH was appointed to become a new administrator of Club 2000 network and you will see him in the photos after the first meeting. The executive committee has been authorized to organize international conference which is going to take place this year in October. And VMs have been invited to facilitate in that conference. In this conference we have been with GO WIN FOR CHRIST director Mr. Samuel Muyanja and he recommended us for the good job done and requested us to partner with his organization in order to reach the drug addict in his home area.

Volunteer Uganda action to reach out the youth in the annual youth Camp meeting give lecture at Makerere University

We have a pleasure to submit the Volunteer Ministers Uganda Team action activity. We have taken VM action to reach out the youth in the annual youth Camp meeting this year. In this event we were invited to give lectures at Makerere University Main Campus.

The Camp meeting was attended by dignitaries from Uganda Government, Visitors from United States of America, University Staff, Students, and youth from churches and their pastors, which is estimated to 1000 participants in Number.

1 took VM Team of six people but because we have two T-shirts only two members have been seen as VMS in the Camp meeting. We need more materials of VMS in order to be promoted in the public

We had requested to give lecture on Basic of Organizing and Study Tech, but I took a step further to introduce the L.Ron Tech and Volunteer Minister programs.
People were enlightened and got exited to know a new way of learning and volunteer minister Programs. Those who have accesses to internet we have directed them on line courses. Now we have started to get invitations to visit their communities and give them free lectures on volunteer Minister Activities.

Katakwi Volunteer Ministers Action in flood area Uganda

December 2007 in Eastern part of Uganda was affected with floods about 200,000 families were displaced and affected in 15 districts. All the crops and homesteads were destroyed VM Uganda team prepared an action to reach the affected areas. However due to lack of logistics we delayed to reach the place but later on with the help from Phillipa South Africa Volunteer Miniter Office, and Kenya Team we reached the Internal Displaced people IDP in Camps, where we spent 10 days.

We liaised with OCHA UN Office, Prime Ministers Office, a German NGO called ASB, Red Cross and district authority local offices. We delivered assist services and trauma as VMs. We gave also study Tech for secondary students. We visited 10 Camps and 4000 people benefited from L.Ron Tech.

I promised them to go back and conduct conflict resolution program because that part of Uganda has been in a conflict for 22 years so now I am in line with local authorities to initiate the training program of trainers, who will go further in the communities to train others in order to solve the problem. Indeed I need your support in this endeavor.

HOW VOLUNTEER MINISTER STARTED IN UGANDA

It was my friend Francis who first coordinated with International Office and was referred to Phillipa South Africa, after communication he came to Pedaiah Paul M Teba's office where is working as Founder/ International Director in WOLICAMI a community based development organization(http://www.wolicami.8m.com/). Pedaiah browsed the internet to get more information about Scientology and when he was convinced with it programs which are beneficial to the communities on day to day life solutions, he decided to volunteer to go to Kenya to get more information.
When he came back in Uganda he decided to start VM programs in Uganda in partnership with churches, community organized groups and organizations. he used his own resources and mobilized people to be trained as VMs in Uganda. We opened VM operations in UGANDA WAY BACK in 2007 May after undergoing a training with the team sent by Phillipa (VM I/C Africa office) from Nairobi. 18 VMs members were trained on that cycle. Before the Grand opening we had RADIO TALK SHOW on Dunamis radio which cover a population of 100,000 people and later the grand Opening was attended by officials from the government of Uganda, churches leaders, News reporters, and other dignitaries totaled to a number of 500
